5 of the best Siem Reap cafes for breakfast and coffee-updated November 2024

The Little Red Fox Espresso

Australian owned and Cambodian managed, this cafe is at heart of hip Kandal Village. Expect a friendly welcome, outstanding coffee, colourful and healthy food all accompanied by tunes from the golden era of Cambodian rock & roll.

Food

Breakfast and brunch with lots of vegan options. The bowls (Boujie Tetra Grain Bowl is a favourite) and bagels (can’t go wrong with the Deconstructed Smoked Chicken) are particularly tasty.

Drinks

As you would expect, coffee is taken very seriously here. Beans come from Feel Good Roasters who focus on fair trade and organic beans from the region. Hipster lattes come in a variety of colours that look almost too good to drink and (Siem Reap made) Kombucha is also available.

And more

Strong eco credentials, The Fox is of the leaders in the Siem Reap green movement.

Open Thursday to Tuesday from 7am to 5pm.

Footprint Cafes

People, planet, profit is the motto (and WiFi code) at this relaxed cafe that donates 100% of their net profits back to local community as educational and entrepreneurial grants.

Food

Eggs anyway (florentine, omelette) or The Works is a typical British fry up perfect for homesick travellers. The vegan pumpkin pancakes are not to be missed.

Drinks

Feel good coffee, smoothies and green juices. Or have a liquid breakfast in the form of a vegan muesli smoothie.

And more

Stocked wall to wall with books, this is the place to go if you need to top up your holiday reads. It’s also a lovely spot to get some work done, either downstairs in the cafe or in the large co-working space upstairs.

Open daily from 7am to 7pm.

Healthy breakfasts (dragonfruit smoothie bowl) to hearty lunches (summer mango chicken burger) are catered for. Vegans, gluten free travellers and anyone with food intolerances are well catered for.

Drinks

Expertly brewed coffee (including Bubbachinos for little ones), fresh juices and on a hot day, nothing can beat the Watermelon & Lime Ice Blend.

Kameng Leng

This Siem Reap play cafe is a must do for families visiting Siem Reap. Incredible indoor/outdoor play spaces in a beautiful spot in trendy Wat Bo.

Food

The kids menu is pure heaven with eight choices of kids meals - The Owl is a favourite with my girls with fried rice, chicken nuggets and salad. The grown ups menu is delicious too - try the vegan burger or Asian beef salad. DON’T MISS THE ICE POPS!

Drinks

Smoothies and juice for the kids, coffee and even wine or beer for the parents. What more do you need?

And more

Check their Facebook page for events like kids cooking classes and Arts & Stem club. Day care is also available with the wonderful Kameng Leng team to take care of your little ones.

Drinks

Excellent coffee and shakes and one of the best hot or iced matcha lattes you can find in Siem Reap.
